  • There are two types of Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic.
  • Gaelic is spoken in Scotland, Ireland and the Isle Of Man.
  • It originates in Ireland and was initially spoken by the Irish.
  • There are fewer than 400,000 speakers of Irish Gaelic, and around 60,000 speakers of Scottish Gaelic.
  • In present day the Gaelic language is becoming lesser, however, it is still used in the Northern regions of Scotland.
