Quality Assurance Procedures

Quality Assurance and thus accurate translations are of paramount importance. Examples of translations that have gone wrong due to lack of QA ( refer to our list of translation funnies) can often make us laugh years down the line and serve as a great reminder of why QA is vital, but in reality the lack of quality assurance cost these companies millions in marketing and lost revenue.

Here at EJP Translations all of our translators carry out rigorous proofreading before submitting their translation to their EJP Account Manager. The Account or Project Manager here in Scotland will then compare the source and translated material to ensure that it is fully complete and that there are no formatting errors. They will also ensure the correct use of TRADOS if TRADOS has been used for the translation.

It is at this stage that small, ad-hoc, translations are returned to the client having being proofread and also thoroughly checked. Large multi-lingual projects will then go through in country QA procedures so that your own managers, based abroad, can go through the translations and ensure that they are perfectly localized for your target market. The entire process is managed by EJP Translations.

There are other ways of carrying out more intense quality assurance such as back translation, and secondary level proofreading. For further information on how we manage our internal and external QA please feel free to contact us .

Whatever the project, whatever the language combinations, timelines and degree of complexity, EJP can guarantee a top quality job, accurate translations and customer satisfaction.
