- There are two types of Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic.
- Gaelic is spoken in Scotland, Ireland and the Isle Of Man.
- It originates in Ireland and was initially spoken by the Irish.
- There are fewer than 400,000 speakers of Irish Gaelic, and around 60,000 speakers of Scottish Gaelic.
- In present day the Gaelic language is becoming lesser, however, it is still used in the Northern regions of Scotland.
